Tour Description

This full day tour starts with a visit to Fatima, one of the most important shrines in the world dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Visit the Basilica to see the tombs of Jacinta and Francisco Marto, the Chapel of Apparitions where Our Lady appeared in 1917 and Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. The tour continues to the Dominican Monastery at Batalha which is one of the best examples of late Gothic architecture in Portugal with its spectacular gables and spires.

There’s a stop for lunch in the nearby town of Nazare, once a fishing village now a seaside resort. Then in the afternoon the tour makes its way to the picturesque medieval town of Obidos, as you walk the castle ramparts you can enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
