A Cultural and Gastronomic Weekend in Lisbon

Three day tour itinerary for in and around Lisbon, that includes Lisbon City sightseeing, wine & port tasting, dinners, lunches, and a trip to Sintra, Estoril and Cascais.

Day 1 – Friday:

10:00: Arrive Lisbon City Airport and be met by your guide and coach for a 2 ½ hour Panoramic City Tour visiting some of the fabulous city attractions finishing at your hotel to check in.

13:30: Your guide meets you at your hotel for a short walk it to the city centre for a delicious 3 course lunch.

The afternoon is free time for you to explore Lisbon and do a bit of shopping.

17:00: Your guide meets you at your hotel for an evening's sightseeing tour of Lisbon's historical city centre, the Alfama, along the way stopping at a Pombal wine cellar for some port and wine tasting with Portuguese cheeses and hams.

20:00 After the tasting a short walk to a restaurant tucked away in the heart of the Alfama where you can enjoy a typical Portuguese dinner and listen to the unique sounds of Fado.

Day 2 – Saturday:

09:00: Your guide and transport meets you at your hotel for a full days excursion to Sintra, Estoril and Cascais.

10:00: Guided tour of Sintra and the Palacio da Pena. Your guide will explain the history of the Palacio de Pena built in 1840 as you wander through the towers, ramparts and gardens.

14:00: Arrive at the fashionable seaside resort of Estoril for some free time browsing the shops and lunch.

18:30: Cocktails and sunset at Cabo da Roca Europe’s westernmost point.

21:00: Arrive at the colourful and cosmopolitan town of Cascais for pre dinner drinks and then a wonderful dinner overlooking the beach.

Day 3 – Sunday:

10:00: Your guide and transport meets you at your hotel for trip up to the Castle of Sao Jorge for a last look at Lisbon.

12:00: Farewell lunch at the docks. A 19th Century converted warehouse overlooking the River Tagus makes for a amazing venue for lunch.

15:00: After lunch your coach arrives at the restaurant for your transfer to the airport and afternoon flight home.
